Monument is the City, and the bookings here follow the working week. EC3, at the junction of King William Street and Cannon Street, a few minutes from London Bridge.

Where it is

Monument station connects to Bank by a walkway, which puts you on the District, Circle, Central, Northern and Waterloo and City lines between them. The Monument itself is on the corner.

What that means for booking

This is a weekday market. The City empties at weekends, so Tuesday to Thursday evenings are when the diaries here are busiest and Saturday is quiet. Almost all of it is outcall to hotels or apartments rather than incall, because very few people live in EC3.

What it costs

Mid range, and the bookings are often longer than average because they run on from dinner. Give notice where you can, since the roster covering the City is smaller than the demand on a Wednesday night.

Where people actually stay

The hotels around Tower Hill, London Bridge and Liverpool Street all sit within a short taxi ride, and those are where most of the bookings here land. Very little of this area is residential, so incall is rare and outcall is the norm.

Who covers it

Companions based across the centre and the east, rather than a resident roster. That is worth knowing because it means the choice is wider than a listing count for EC3 would suggest. Ask what is free rather than filtering on the postcode.

Worth knowing before you ring

Book earlier in the day for a weekday evening. The City demand is concentrated into three nights a week and the diaries covering it fill accordingly.
