Paddington

Paddington is a hotel district, and the bookings here reflect that. W2, immediately north of Bayswater, built around the station.

Where it is

Paddington station is the Heathrow Express terminus, which is why the hotels along Praed Street and Sussex Gardens are as dense as they are. The Bakerloo, Circle, District and Hammersmith and City lines all stop here.

What that means for booking

More outcall than most of London, and a great deal of it within a five minute walk. If you are staying near the station, she is not crossing the city to reach you, which keeps the taxi off the bill and the wait short.

Short notice works well here for the same reason. Nobody at a Paddington hotel pays attention to a guest having a visitor.

What it costs

From around £200, comfortably below the postcodes south of the park. The value here is the combination of a central location and rates that have not followed the Mayfair curve.

The station effect

Everything about this area is shaped by the terminus. Business travellers in for a night, Heathrow arrivals who do not want to cross London, and a hotel stock built for exactly that. It makes short notice more workable here than almost anywhere.

Incall as well

Sussex Gardens and the streets north of the station carry a real incall roster too, not only hotel outcall. If you would rather go to her, it is there.

Worth knowing before you ring

Give the hotel name and room number when you book rather than at the door. It is the single thing that makes an outcall run smoothly, and reception genuinely does not care.
